A little bit of this...and a little bit of that.

The title of my post accurately describes my eating habits for the past week. I don't think I've sat down and eaten an actual meal in quite some time. No, my mother is not under feeding me. This past week has just been stressful, so it's easier to grab a protein bar here, or a bowl of cereal there. I have also neglected to go to bed before midnight for the past couple of days. This has got to change. A lack of sleep and good eating has made for a quite grumpy Emilee. I don't like being grumpy, despite speculations that I actually enjoy making people feel bad. I hate when I snap at people, or just burst into tears for no reason. It's really not fun at all. So this past week has just been all together awful. But I am determined to make this week better. For starters, I'm going back up to the office tomorrow. I haven't worked up there with Jess for three weeks now...I'm starting to go through withdrawal. I'm looking forward to the much needed girl talk, and getting back into the swing of things. I also came home with a new pair of TOMS today (pictures to come). If you don't know about the TOMS movement check them out at http://www.toms.com/. The saying is true; nothing can make a girl feel better like a pair of new shoes. I might have a summer job lined up. Super exciting, right? I think so. I would be working at the Nixa Community Center with their day camp program. Another thing I will be taking up: writing. I absolutely love to write. It's such a great creative outlet. So I decided to finally buckle down and write a book. Yes, a book. I have no clue as to what it will be about, but it should be an adventure. I'm excited to see what this new season of life is going to bring me, and I hope you'll stick around to see. :)

Momma said there'd be days like this...

Do you ever have those days where you wake up, and you're instantly in a bad mood? You haven't even had contact with anyone, yet you're still grumpy? I'll admit, that was definitely me today. As soon as I woke up, I knew today wasn't going to go well for me. An Algebra 2 test confirmed that for me early on. After lunch I decided to grab my scripts and go hole up in my room. I have two skits I'm preforming in at the beginning of May for co-op. We were given two weeks to memorize our lines. This wouldn't be so bad, except I was gone from Wednesday to Sunday. Then Monday, I spent the entire day cleaning my room. Tuesday was my last day of spring break, so naturally, I just laid around and watched TV. Wednesday I spent the morning doing school, the afternoon shopping for a bike for Lance, and the evening at church. Yesterday was spent doing school and a few other things. So that leaves me at today. Friday. With three days left, I'm starting to majorly stress. As sarcastic and tough as I may seem, I hate to disappoint people. Therefore, not having these lines memorized is just not acceptable. So, I guess I'm going to go pick up those annoying little pieces of paper, and start memorizing. :)

Frustrations.

Grrrr. I'm so mad right now. My camera battery bit the dust this week! And right after I got back from the Gulf (which was ah-mazing by the way)! I had to order a new battery and it probably won't be here until next week. Boo. So that throws my Project 3-6-5 off a bit, but here's a few pictures from my vacation.

We stopped at Graceland.

Spring Break Surprise.

Oh my word. I am shaking from excitement as I'm typing. Spring break is here for most people, and I was going to be sitting at home, doing nothing. Until tonight. My fantastic bestie, Ashlyn, called me and invited me to go to GULF SHORES with her and her family. And because I have the most amazing parents ever, they're letting me go :) After deciding I could go, my mom and I jumped in the car and drove to the mall. I was in serious need of some shorts and a swimsuit. Upon returning I hurriedly packed my suitcase. Now, in less than 8 hours, I will be on my way to the beach! Now here comes the homeschooler part: this will be my first out of state trip without my family. It will be weird, but I'm excited none the less. Well I better go finish packing! :)

Stormy Sunday.

I love storms. And there's nothing better than a lazy, rainy, Sunday afternoon. But today has been anyhing but lazy. We got up this morning for church, and because of the time change, everyone was exaughsted. After small groups, Ashlyn and I walked Lukas (a special needs boy) around the church during second hour. Between Ashlyn almost dumping the wheelchair into a fountain and us planning a senior trip to Disney World, it was an interesting morning. Then we came home and I curled up in my bed to edit some pictures. Now I'm going to finish up my dinner and then my youth group ( http://www.rbcstudents.com/ ) is going to go serve at a missions organization. I'm excited to get the opportunity to serve and impact our community.
