S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y....NIGHT!

Who doesn't love the 80's? Big hair, bright colors, and Billy Joel. Our youth group is throwing an 80's themed roller skating party tonight at Skateland. I'm not the most "graceful" person on the planet, so I'll admit, I'm a little nervous about being on wheels. After skating, me and the Ash-Basher are going to have some much overdue girl time. Hopefully we won't be going out anywhere after skating because my outfit is...wow. All that needs to be said is that pictures will be posted tomorrow. So I''m off to go tease my hair and do my make-up. Talk to you later...dude.

Project 3-6-5

I've officially started my Project 3-6-5. It involves taking a picture every day for a year. So maybe I'm a little behind, but better late than never right? Project 3-6-5 is a great way to document your year and improve your photography skills. So here is picture numero uno.

The past few days have been quite gloomy, so I figured what else to photograph than my umbrella?

Have a great weekend, and maybe start your very own Project 3-6-5. :)

Belated Birthdays.

Three birthdays in our family have passed already this year. Birthdays are always interesting in the Garrison
family. On that one day of the year...you actually have to be nice to that person. I'm just kidding (mostly) of
course! My cousin Nathan turned thirteen in January . He's getting so old *sniff sniff*....ha. My granny's
birthday was Sunday and my moms was yesterday. I should probably "forget" to mention how old she is.
BUT let's just say, if you were going to buy number candles, you would need a 4 and a 3....and she's not 34.
Hehehe. We're going out to celebrate her birthday this evening with some Qdouba and Cold Stone
Creamery. Good choice(s) mom. My dad's birthday is in May and Lance's isn't til June, so they're not too far
off. I however, have to wait until November, before my family has to be nice to me. This November will be
the big 1-6 for me...eek! Drivers license here I come. But until then, I guess I'll settle with eating everyone
elses cake.

Fresh.

Oh Friday...how I have missed you. Friday for me usually means the end of a long week of school and the beginning of an ever-so-short weekend. This past week has been go-go-go for us. Monday was Valentines Day. I recieved a lovely box of Russell Stovers chocolates...*insert appropriate ahhh here*. Tuesday was another fun-filled day a co-op. We spray painted sheet-rock in art class, and it turned out pretty well. Wednesday we FINALLY got to have services again thanks to cooperative weather. Yesterday we went to Sams and I got one of those memory foam mattress toppers....oh.my.word. Last night was the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. If I was going to do a commercial for it, I would state, "It's like sleeping on a cloud." Cheesy right? I am currently sitting on my couch sipping a strawberry milkshake and watching Say Yes to the Dress. I love low-key evenings...especially when they involve milkshakes. I did have a fantastic walk earlier though. The weather has been amazingly beautiful this week. Who doesn't love sixty degree weather in February? I do. Well I'm off to resume my -do-nothing-and-enjoy-it evening. Have a wonderful weekend.

Saturday, February 12, 2011

Well hello again! It's been quite some time since I've posted, so I though I'd take the time and catch you up on all things Emilee. Well for starters, who loves snow? Oh yeah? Come live in Missouri right now. Ick. It's not that I don't "like" snow, I just don't like this much of it. Especially when it's kept us from Wednesday night service for two weeks in a row.  But I've found many a ways to occupy myself during this snowstorm extravaganza. A few friends and I went ice skating last Saturday...which was more than interesting. Quinn and Lyndsey were zooming around the rink like they were in the Olympics, whereas Ashlyn and I...oy. We're not the most coordinated people to begin with, so when you stick us on ice, watch out. Luckily, though, we were somewhat decent by the time we left. We then proceeded to go get ice cream in eight degree weather. Doesn't everyone do that? Then, this last Sunday, was the Super Bowl (GO PACK GO!). There were nine people gathered at my aunt and uncles house that afternoon. Three of us were Packers fans. Ben Roethlisberger needs to learn how to not throw interceptions. But I won't go on about it. This morning at seven forty-five on a SATURDAY, the Dish Network guy invaded my house. Not cool. He's been here for an hour and who knows when he'll leave. The one and only reason he is here is because.....you guessed it. NASCAR starts up again next week. The male side of my family is practically salivating they're so excited. I mean, I'm not saying that I won't be parked in front of the TV come next Sunday.....but anyways. There was a quick and slightly sporadic recap of my past few weeks. Hopefully we'll met again sooner rather than later. :)

Snowmageddon 2011.

Oh...my...word. There is nowhere to begin. The state of Missouri has officially reached crisis mode. For those of you who live in a hole and don't know what's going on, you might want to check KY3. The weathermen predict 12-20 inches of snow by tomorrow night. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a heck of a lot of snow to me. We went to Braums today (like the rest of the state apparently) to grab some butter so we could pre-cook meals and then freeze them. I was eleventh in line at the produce counter. Then we stopped by Dollar General to grab paper plates. There I staked my claim as thirteenth in line...at the back of the store. Everyone and their brother is out running around like a chicken with their heads cut off. The dairy section at Wal-mart is completely empty, and local gas stations are running out of fuel. Fun, eh? All area schools have been canceled already. And according to 99.5fm....the National Guard has been called in to help. Now after reading all this you would think it would be sleeting or snowing here, right? Wrong. There is absolutely nothing happening outside at the moment. The calm before the storm as they say. So stay warm, and enjoy Snowmageddon 2011. :)
